PH's candidate for Klang, Charles Santiago, has expressed concern that PH supporters might be overconfident and take things for granted.
At a ceramah in Klang, he explained that being overconfident could see the coalition lose as supporters may not turn out to vote at seats previously won with large majorities, like in the Klang parliamentary seat.
"We can lose Selangor. This is real. We need an 85% turnout to kick BN out of Selangor," he said.
Ahli Majlis Tertinggi Umno Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz mengalu-alukan keputusan Datuk Mohd Puad Zarkashi untuk kekal bersama parti, walaupun dia mengkritik kepimpinan parti selepas digugurkan dari bertanding di Batu Pahat.
"Kadang-kadang orang kecewa, jadi kita perlu beri masa," kata Nazri.
"Dia ketua propaganda nombor satu kita, jadi kehilangan beliau pasti menyedihkan. Saya harap dia akan terus berkhidmat kepada parti," katanya.
Puad mengetuai unit propaganda kerajaan, Jabatan Hal Ehwal Khas (JASA) sebelum meletak jawatan minggu lepas.
Umno Supreme Council member Nazri Aziz has welcomed Mohd Puad Zarkashi's decision to remain in the party, despite earlier criticism of the party leadership after he was dropped from standing in Batu Pahat.
"Sometimes people can get frustrated, so we have to give them time," said Nazri.
"He was our number one propaganda chief, so to lose him would've been sad. I hope he will continue to serve the party," he said. Puad led Putrajaya's propaganda unit Jasa, before he resigned last week.

DAP’s Rahang candidate has accused the state’s MCA chairman of being indifferent when she was sexually harassed two years ago.
Mary Josephine claimed that Dr King Lim Chin had instead chided her for not knowing how to handle the situation.

Sepanggar incumbent Jumat Idris, who has been under suspension from Umno since 2015, has pledged his loyalty to Barisan Nasional, ending speculations about his political future.
Speaking to some 1,500 BN supporters at his house in Likas, Kota Kinabalu, Jumat said he had told Prime Minister Najib Razak that “I’m still your man” after he was asked whether he could help retain the Sepanggar parliamentary seat for the coming election.
Jumat was not selected to stand in the May 9 polls.
Also at the event today is Sabah Umno deputy chief Salleh Said Keruak.
Salleh said he would urge Najib to reinstate Jumat’s Umno membership.

“We would not underestimate PAS and the other two independent candidates," Law said in Kampung Selayang Lama.
Tian Chua, the two-term Batu MP, is challenging EC's decision to reject his candidacy citing his conviction in court. Lau will face PAS' Azhar Yahya, as well as Independents V M Panjamothy and Prabakaran Parameswaran. Prabakaran is the youngest candidate for this general election.
Taiping MIC chief M Raja Singgam says Hindraf's failure to secure seats from its PH partners shows the opposition pact didn't think highly of the group.
"If the opposition thought Hindraf was strong, it would have given them seats."
Raja Singgam said BN could depend on over 60% of Indian votes in Taiping, where there were over 6,000 registered voters.
The priest of St Michael's Church in Ipoh Stephen Liew said it was the duty of voters to choose the "lesser evil" in the coming polls.
"Some say that religious leaders should not talk about politics but we have a duty to do so as it says in the books of Christianity.
"Not to take sides is already taking the side of status quo. In the trampling of human rights, the church has to make a stand and cannot remain silent.
"If there are two evils to choose from, choose the lesser evil," he said at a forum on GE14 in Ipoh, Perak.
Umno's Kamunting candidate Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid says the GST and removal of subsidies may be "uncomfortable" at first but it will be good for the economy in the long run.
Speaking at the launch of the Taiping MIC operations room, Zahir said this was similar to the Perak government's reorganising of an Indian settlement in Taiping for infrastructure development.
"It was uncomfortable at first because some of the residents had to have parts of their homes demolished, but the end result was better roads and utilities."

Calon BN Parlimen Pengerang, Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said berkata dakwaan oleh Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad mengenai unsur sabotaj ke atas pesawat sebelum berlepas ke Langkawi Jumaat lalu adalah helah meraih simpati.

Former Selangor executive councillor Teng Chang Khim has urged voters to continue backing PH although DAP had to sacrifice its rocket symbol.
Speaking at a ceramah in Klang attended mostly by non-Malays, Teng, who is a member of DAP and Pakatan's candidate for the Bandar Baru state seat, said although it was sad that DAP had to let go of its rocket symbol, Klang had to ensure that Selangor did not fall into BN's hands.
"This is very important. Klang had been leading the fight in Selangor since 2008 and we have to continue leading the people," he said.

Center to Combat Corruption and Cronyism (C4) director Cynthia Gabriel said GE14 is different from previous polls due to the mega scandals that had plagued the nation.
She said they included those involving the 1MDB, Felda and Mara and alleged electoral fraud and this was why people needed to vote in a manner that would keep politicians in check.
"One of the big things that have affected us is the gerrymandering that has taken place.
"Ipoh Timur has an increase of 10,000 extra voters, lumping the non-Malays together and separating the Malays from them.
"What happened to 1Malaysia and moving ahead as one race? It's not fair that you now have to share your MP with 150,000 people (in the Damansara constituency)," she said at a forum in Ipoh.
The fishermen of Paramount, Gurney Drive, Tanjung Tokong and Tanjung Bungah-Teluk Bahang have made 11 demands to future assemblymen and parliamentarians.
Their spokesman Syahifah Hawa Zamzuri said the demands involved the recognition of the fishermen’s area in Tanjung Tokong and Tanjung Bungah as heritage village; drawing up a master plan for coastal fishermen; reviewing and improving the approval process of fishing licences as well as reviewing the environmental impact for Sri Tanjung Pinang (STP) 1, STP2 and Gurney Wharf.
The other demands were that all development projects in the area must be based on the fishermen’s inspirations; no new reclamation projects; finding alternative ways to generate economy instead of "reclaim and sell" land and monitoring of illegal fishing activities.
In addition, the fishermen demanded a strategic plan for the coastal fishing community, conservation and preservation of the mangrove area that was destroyed due to reclamation activities as well as an action committee to monitor all environmental issues.
“Any aspiring politician who is able to fulfil the demands that we make today will have our votes,” Bernama quoted Syahifah, 29, as saying.
